Description

This 12m high speed aluminium interceptor patrol vessel design was selected by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency to replace their existing fleet of FRP vessels.  The series of vessel was constructed by Dalac Marine Engineering & Services of Malaysia.

The patrol boats are designed using Lloyds SSC structure and achieved 47 knots at half load on trials, exceeding the 45 knot contract requirement.

With a crew of 8, this patrol boat design has been a great success for the MMEA.  This design exhibits the Air Rider’s renowned soft ride and safe, predictable sea keeping.  The Air Rider’s level high speed turning is of particular benefit, particularly when in tight pursuit and as a safe weapons platform.
