Launched in 2011, this purpose designed AIR RIDER marine kit achieved 38 knots at 50% load and 34 knots genuine loaded, showing an excellent combination of the AIR RIDER hull, the Twin V12 MAN diesels and the very efficient DOEN waterjets.
Dubbed the AWB (All Weather Boat), our AIR RIDER was the clear winner after closing of tenders from the Malaysian government.  It truly has to be capable of operating up to sea state 7.

The primary role of the vessel is the patrol and maintenance of the Marine Parks and we expect the vessel to have multi role capabilities.
Fully tank tested, this 19m vessel shows all of the excellent AIR RIDER characteristics of a smooth dry ride.

Like most of our newer vessels, this one is approved to DNV hull and superstructure, with the vessel being built in Malaysia to DNV supervision.

The Pilot Boat version of this design offers the same advantages as the proven, but with less weight. (T0903)

Customs also requested a version (T1807). A vessel that can operate in unfavourable sea conditions throughout the year.

A 20mtr, 45 knot version is also available (T2023)

Every Air Rider is unique, but they all share some fundamental DNA in their hull that sets them apart from a vanilla flavoured monohull:

• Super deep V hull bottom, typically 26° to 32° dead rise angle at transom,
• Fine entry bow angle,
• Twin reverse chines (two per side),
• Twin full length hull tunnels,
• Wide waterline beam vs overall beam,
• Semi flared bow.

All of that combined gives the Air Rider incredible offshore performance:

• Extreme dynamic stability for safe and predictable sea keeping in ALL headings,
• Will not broach when planing in a following or stern quartering sea,
• Turns at speed without heeling, and with incredible grip,
• Minimal spray for dry and comfortable running,
• Great head sea punching,
• Soft landings when airborne,
• Awesome load carrying,
• Very stable and comfortable motion at rest.
