Following a long line of Air Riders used for sea search and rescue, “Dingo Marley” was newly designed for Bunbury Sea Rescue from the keel up. This latest hull uses the Air Rider’s proven dynamic stability and predictable sea keeping to push the hull bottom deadrise up to 28° with a new near-plumb stem and a very fine wave slicing bow.
This new hull has proven itself capable beyond its size, having already rescued several larger vessels.
“Dingo Marley” uses a combination of buoyant above deck compartments and a flooding keel to achieve NSCV 2C stability compliance for 2 + 4, making her our smallest Air Rider hull to do so.
Professionally built by Westerberg Aluminium Boats in Albany, the fit out is extensive but hard wearing. To enhance SAR duties the vessel is equipped with FLIR night vision, Raymarine radar, dual multifunction screens, search light and Shockwave suspension seating. Power comes from twin Suzuki 200hp outboards which give a sprint speed of 40 knots at 6000RPM, meaning that next rescue is never too far away.
